About Positive Discipline:

 

The Positive Discipline in the Classroom Program (by Dr. Jane Nelsen and Lynn Lott) is aimed at developing a respectful classroom and school climate through social emotional learning, character education and effective discipline.

Positive Discipline philosophy is based on the understanding that discipline teaches and that discipline must be taught.  It is neither punitive nor permissive in its approach and focuses on solutions rather than blame and punishment.

The “Positive Discipline in the Classroom” two day certification training empowers teachers with a systematic approach to creating a positive classroom atmosphere that will increase academic excellence and classroom productivity.

The training provides information and resources that are designed to enhance students’ social emotional skills (including self regulatory skills), improve communication skills and teach collaboration and proactive problem solving skills.
